As some of you might already know, on March 30th we’ll be hosting ONEedgeDay 2022! 🤓

ONEedgeDay is a virtual event to celebrate with the OpenNebula Community all the new edge computing & multi-cloud features developed through our H2020 innovation project ONEedge. It’s also a unique occasion to learn about the latest developments around open source cloud technologies for edge computing.

The opening session will be conducted by our CEO, and will include a presentation from the 🇪🇺 European Commission on the role that edge computing is expected to play in Europe in the next decade, and what kind of resources are going to be available to organizations willing to contribute to the EU’s strategic objectives.

The event will also include a panel about the technological results of the ONEedge project (including an amazing demo), followed by the presentation of different use cases in which the new ONEedge features are being applied to real scenarios. Among these, we will host speakers from Telefónica I+D, RISE, and FullStackS.

In the second part of the event, we will focus on technology integrations. Thanks to the ONEedge project, we’ve been able to expand the connections with other great open source projects and cloud platforms. For this panel, we’ll have our friends from SUSE, Oracle, and ThreeFold Tech joining us.

Finally, we will explore what to expect from edge computing innovation beyond ONEedge, especially from the perspective of Europe’s renewed interest in strengthening the continent’s digital sovereignty, with representatives from the Gaia-X Association and the Gaia-X Federation Services project. And we’ll also be presenting the new European open source initiative SovereignEdge.EU 🚀

For more information about timings and speakers, check out the Agenda!

And remember that this event is FREE of charge ➡️ Register Now!
