In conjunction with the European initiative 6G-SANDBOX, in which OpenNebula Systems is a proud participant, we are excited to announce this new edition of our TechDay Madrid! This exclusive event will provide you with an unparalleled opportunity to explore the latest advances in Edge Computing. Set to take place on May 8, the meeting will be hosted at the iconic Torres Puerta de Europa.
Join us and find out more about the role that open source technologies are playing in the deployment and application of edge cloud infrastructures in a number of strategic sectors (including private and commercial 5G networks) and about the many opportunities for innovation and emerging business models around distributed cloud infrastructures and services.

The EU’s Digital Compass strategy expects “10,000 climate neutral highly secure edge nodes” to have been deployed throughout Europe by 2030. In this panel we will discuss how the Spanish industry is facing this challenge, and how some of the most innovative companies in the Telecom and Cloud sectors are planning to use open source technologies to combine their existing services with next-generation capabilities in order to respond to this collective objective of the European Union.

In this session we’ll explore OpenNebula’s cloud architecture, its different user interfaces, basic configuration options, and multi-tenancy features. We will cover the main components of an OpenNebula cloud, the basics of deploying Virtual Machines, and how to perform some other relevant operations through several hands-on exercises, so make sure you bring your laptop, you’ll have access to a lab environment!
