We’re thrilled to announce that OpenNebula 7.0 is just around the corner, bringing a bunch of new features, enhancements, and a refreshed user experience. As always, we want to make sure OpenNebula remains accessible to users around the globe, and that’s where you come in!

We’re now opening the call for translations for OpenNebula 7.0. If you’re fluent in any language other than English and would like to contribute to the project, this is your chance to help the community by localizing the Sunstone GUI and other user-facing components.

How to Contribute to OpenNebula 7.0

If you’re wondering how to get involved, or want to start collaborating, this presents a unique opportunity to join our community. Translation will be available through Transifex, which is one of the most known tools to localize open source projects. The only part that requires translations is Sunstone, OpenNebula’s GUI (the main interface), which means that the effort required is moderate to low.

If this is your first time using Transifex, no worries, we got you covered, the steps are quite simple:

  1. Create an account on Transifex
  2. Join the OpenNebula Project here
  3. Choose your language and start contributing!

Existing translations can be updated and new translations submitted through our project site at Transifex.

This “Call for Translations” will end on Friday, May 9 EOD, so hurry up! Translated languages reaching a good level of completion will be included in the stable release of OpenNebula 7.0.
