About this Webinar
OpenNebula has become a distributed cloud management platform able to aggregate cloud resources on-demand across multiple edge locations to enable low-latency services. One of the most immediate applications of this innovative approach is online gaming, where private or hybrid clouds can be easily expanded at the edge using physical resources from bare-metal providers. The open-source orchestration platform Agones can then be deployed on top of a Kubernetes cluster at the edge to host, run and scale dedicated game servers.
What to expect from this webinar?
- Learn about Agones, the open source multiplayer dedicated game server scaling and orchestration platform—developed by Google and multiple game studios—that can run anywhere Kubernetes can run.
- Discover the new edge computing features that have been incorporated into OpenNebula’s latest version as part of the ONEedge initiative, and find out about the future developments to come in the following months.
- Watch a live demo on how to use OpenNebula to easily build a global distributed cloud using bare-metal resources to deploy K3s clusters and Agones at the edge for low-latency multiplayer gaming… And if you want to join the game, make sure you’ve got a Xonotic client installed locally beforehand! 😉
This webinar will be presented by Alberto P. Martí (Open Source Community Manager at OpenNebula) and Marco Mancini (Cloud Technical Evangelist at OpenNebula).
Our guest speaker for this webinar will be Mark Mandel (Developer Advocate at Google).
