OneDRS

Training Details

As IT infrastructures grow more complex and resource-intensive, achieving efficient workload distribution across a large-scale environment becomes increasingly important.

That’s why we developed OneDRS—OpenNebula’s new AI-powered Distributed Resource Scheduler, introduced in version 7.0. Designed as a powerful, intelligent alternative to VMware DRS, OneDRS ensures optimal performance across your cloud and edge environments with:

  • Smart VM Placement
  • Dynamic Resource Balancing
  • Predictive Optimization

OneDRS monitors your infrastructure and automatically performs live migrations (similar to VMware vMotion) to redistribute workloads based on current resource usage. The result? Improved performance, reduced manual effort, and a more efficient OpenNebula cluster.

Agenda

Join our live training session to take a deeper dive into OneDRS and learn how to implement it effectively in your OpenNebula environment. We’ll cover:

  • How to fine-tune advanced OneDRS settings for custom use cases
  • How to configure OneDRS policies

Duration

The training session will run for 60 minutes, followed by a live Q&A session.

Prerequisites

To avoid potential issues during the session, we recommend completing the following prerequisites before attending:

  • You must run the OpenNebula deployment with at least two hosts. The easiest way is to deploy using OneDeploy
  • You must have access to the OpenNebula frontend node via the browser and the SSH protocol
  • Your OpenNebula should have unrestricted network access

Please note that the facilitator will not be providing debugging support during the session.

This training will be led by Aleksejs Petrovs, Technical Trainer at OpenNebula Systems.

You’ll follow along step by step and have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the session. Don’t miss out—secure your spot now!
