We’re pleased to confirm that OpenNebula Systems will be participating in FOSDEM 2026, taking place in Brussels on January 31 and February 1. FOSDEM is one of the most influential events in the open source calendar, bringing together developers, contributors, and technology leaders from around the world to share insights, build connections, and explore cutting-edge open source innovation.
This year, we will be present in Building K—the main hall of the conference, where you can meet our team at our booth throughout the event, engage with OpenNebula experts, and learn more about our latest advancements in cloud, virtualization, and AI factories.
Presentation Lineup
OpenNebula Systems is delivering three confirmed sessions across key devrooms that reflect our strategic focus areas: virtualization, networking, and AI:
- Virtualization Devroom
Join us in the Virtualization Devroom for two dedicated sessions. We start with How I Turned a Raspberry Pi into an Open-Source Edge Cloud with OpenNebula exploring how lightweight, open technologies can be leveraged to build scalable edge cloud infrastructures. Later, Arming Cloud Computing Continuum: Hunting vulnerabilities in open source hybrid clouds focuses on identifying and mitigating security risks in hybrid environments. Together, these sessions bring open source experts together to examine the technologies and trends shaping modern cloud and virtualization architectures. - Network Devroom
We’ll also be present in the Network Devroom, with a talk on Building an Open Source Private 5G Network: A Practical Blueprint. Here, discussions center on networking innovations, architectural best practices, and open source networking stacks that drive distributed systems. - AI Devroom
In addition, we’ll be present in the AI Devroom with the session on OneAI: An Open-Source Framework for Managing AI Models at Scale, which will highlight concise insights on AI-related infrastructure topics, showcasing how open source cloud platforms are evolving to support AI workloads.
