After last year’s successful Cloud Expo Europe Madrid (Spain), we decided to attend the German edition of this iconic series of events, which was initially scheduled for November 2021 but got postponed due to the rising COVID cases in the country at the time. This has been the first time OpenNebula has been present at this particular exhibition in Frankfurt… and we can say now that it was definitely a great event to participate in! π€
We started on Day 1 with the keynote given by our CEO, Ignacio M. Llorente, at the Horizon Cloud Summit, along with Alberto Palomo (Chief Data Officer, Government of Spain) and Giovanni Rimassa (CIO at Martel Innovate). By the time this session was complete, our team was done setting up our booth and getting ready for the visitors to arrive.
In the afternoon we had another speaking session at the Horizon Cloud Theater where we explained the new edge computing capabilities of OpenNebula followed by a quick demo.
On Day 2 we had a longer technical session, providing an overview of our new release, OpenNebula 6.4 βArcheonβ, and a demo explaining how to use our powerful open source technology to deploy vendor-neutral, hybrid multi-cloud environments.
See you all at the next edition! π
