We are pleased to announce a new maintenance release of the OpenNebula Enterprise Edition. This version fixes some minor details and brings more stability, to ensure an even smoother cloud computing experience. We have also backported some features, so continue reading to discover what’s new on this Maintenance release.
While we make all our products open source under the Apache License Version 2.0, the packages of our Enterprise Edition and the Enterprise Tools we’ve created for Corporate Users are distributed under commercial license terms only available to those customers with an active OpenNebula Subscription.
New Features:
OpenNebula 6.8.3 introduces support for Debian 12 and removes support for Debian 10. Additionally, we have backported the following new features to enhance your workflow:
- Option to restore an individual disk from a backup Image. [Learn more]
- Ability to use the LIMIT_MB attribute for Datastore overcommitment. [Learn more]
Resolved Issues:
This release addresses several issues and bug fixes to improve the overall stability and performance of the OpenNebula Enterprise Edition. Some of the key issues resolved in version 6.8.3 include:
- Fix disk size and quotas after VM disk revert to snapshot with smaller size.
- Fix LDAP group athorization for AD.
- Fix handling of Scheduled Actions for Virtual Machines in done state.
- Fix error handling in OneFlow scaling operations.
- Fix SPICE max password length.
