OpenNebula Systems is delighted to announce that it has joined the Eclipse Foundation as a Contributing Member. This partnership reinforces the global ecosystem around the OpenNebula cloud and edge computing platform and marks a significant milestone for a company that has become the main open source player in the cloud computing landscape.

As a new member of the Eclipse Foundation, OpenNebula Systems will also be able to explore further collaborations with several of its existing technological and innovation partners, including organizations like Accenture, Amadeus, Bosch, Clever Cloud, Deutsche Bahn, Ericsson, Gaia-X, Oracle, SAP, Siemens, and T-Systems.

This alliance will be crucial for multiplying the impact of the open source innovation that the company is undertaking as part of the €3B Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) on Cloud Infrastructure and Services—a key initiative where OpenNebula Systems is leading the creation of Europe’s first open source platform for the datacenter-cloud-edge continuum.
