Technology

While the holiday season has slowed the flow of news, our tech team has been diligently working on refining OpenNebula 6.10 “Bubble” Beta 1 based on your feedback. Here’s a first-hand message from our engineers:

📡 MESSAGE FROM THE ENGINEERING DECK
6.10 Bubble has been finally released, after a careful certification phase, ensuring that it can now shine as the reference OpenNebula LTS release for the next couple of years. A lot of novelties in this release, meant to streamline the OpenNebula experience by maintaining its focus as the leading manager for KVM-based clouds. 6.10 is now ready for production, please do not hesitate to report any wrinkles you may have identified in this final version, and we will do our best to iron them out in future maintenance releases.

We’re excited to share that Ignacio M. Llorente, CEO of OpenNebula Systems, has been re-elected as Chair of the Cloud-Edge Working Group of the European Alliance for Industrial Data, Edge and Cloud. Our commitment to supporting the industry remains strong as we work to demonstrate how open source cloud and edge technologies can help Europe regain its global leadership and digital sovereignty in key areas such as HPC, 5G/6G, and Artificial Intelligence. 2. September 16-18, Vienna—Open Source Summit Europe 2024

3. September 19, online—TelecomTV’s Cloud Native Telco Summit featuring Juan Carlos Garcia, Principal Technology Advisor at OpenNebula Systems, in a panel discussion on the growth of cloud-native technologies and their impact on the telco industry.

4. September 19, Vienna—DevOps Roundtable.
