Let’s have a look at what the end of the first quarter of the year has brought us! By now, you’ve probably already heard that last month our Engineering Team produced several exciting new features for our enterprise customers, so everyone with an OpenNebula Subscription can now start enjoying the latest EE maintenance release, OpenNebula 6.8.2! πŸš€

We’ve also launched the new one-apps toolset and a revamped Virtual Router to enhance your OpenNebula experience! This upgrade makes it easier to set up complex virtual environments, offering features like NAT, port-forwarding, load-balancing, DNS forwarding, and DHCP4, and it also supports high-availability thanks to Keepalived’s VRRP. The updated Virtual Router is now available on the OpenNebula Marketplace, ready to replace the old templates.

We’re excited to share that our OpenNebula TechDay Madrid, held on March 14 and focused on Cloud Sovereignty and Open Source in the Public Sector, was a fantastic success! A big thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to this amazing event πŸ‘ Special thanks to Deloitte for hosting this TechDay at their Madrid office. More than 70 people joined us to learn about how Public Sector entities across Europe are integrating open source technologies into their cloud strategies, the obstacles they encounter, and how they overcome them. We also used this occasion to present the new, multi-billion-euro Important Project of Common European Interest on Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure & Services (IPCEI-CIS).

The turnout exceeded our expectations, highlighting the growing demand for VMware alternatives like OpenNebula. Watch the webinar here!

Navigating the complexities of migrating from VMware can be challenging. That’s why we’ve put together an in-depth blog post to share our insights on the current situation and summarize how we can help you. Check it out, download the white paper for detailed guidance, and don’t hesitate to reach out for further assistance.
